Quality Control

“Quality” doesn’t just happen by accident; instead, it is the result of a meticulous process of following standards and procedures, proper training and continuing education, and participation in nationally recognized quality assurance programs.   GALLINA has a long standing reputation for excellence. We are proud of our track record and reputation earned through years of consistency and quality work products.

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the national, professional organization for Certified Public Accountants. Its mission is to provide members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit the public as well as clients, lenders, and sureties.

In 1988, the members of the AICPA overwhelmingly approved a proposal that requires AICPA members in public practice to participate in a practice-monitoring program. With the adoption of this proposal, the AICPA implemented a peer review program of unprecedented scope in the CPA profession or any other, Peer review helps assure users of CPA services that their CPA firm measures up to the profession's high standards of professionalism and is committed to improving the quality of its practice.

The AICPA’s Peer Review Program is dedicated to enhancing the quality of accounting, auditing and attestation services performed by its AICPA members.  The AICPA Peer Review Program provides for firm-on-firm evaluations of the systems and work products of a public accounting practice. The standards and methodologies used are developed by the AICPA and administered by 41 affiliated state CPA societies throughout the nation. In California, it is a voluntary program and California Society of CPAs is the administering entity.

GALLINA's partners have been proud members of the AICPA since the firm's inception and have voluntarily participated in the Peer Review Program since 1990.  For the last four reviews (since 1997), GALLINA has received an “unmodified report with no letter of comments”, which is the highest opinion possible in a Peer Review. This excellent track record is rare for accounting firms.

We are also proud members of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, http://ebpaqc.aicpa.org/ and the Government Audit Quality Center which are firm-based voluntary membership centers designed to educate and assist CPAs with the challenges of performing quality audits in these unique and complex specialty areas.

This is just one of the many ways we, at GALLINA LLP, work to ensure you can trust our reports and know that our products are consistent and of the highest quality. In addition to the Peer Review process, we adhere to stringent in-house policies and procedures, 2nd partner reviews, and yearly continuing education and training.
