Crystal has been a member of the GALLINA team since November 2002. She is a partner in the Sacramento Office, a part-time college instructor, and a dedicated world traveler.
Crystal provides tax, financial compliance, and assurance services to multifamily housing, real estate, and construction industry clients. In addition, she specializes in auditing employee benefit plans and she is actively involved in building the firm’s practice within this niche.
“My prior experience includes public accounting and industry,” she says. “I was a controller for a privately-held sales and distribution company for approximately five years.” Crystal has also taught teaches part-time at California State University Sacramento since 1997 and is responsible for the ongoing development of the Sacramento office internship program.
Crystal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy degrees from California State University, Sacramento.
She is a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). She also attends a variety of associations — including the Engineering and Utility Contractors Association (EUCA) and the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).
“My motto is ‘Work hard - play hard,’” she says. This also extends to her passion for travel. To date, she has visited Japan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Mauritius, Australia and New Zealand. “One of my goals is to visit to all seven continents,” she says.
