John L. Callan


John is a partner in GALLINA’s Walnut Creek office. He specializes in the construction and real estate industries. His areas of expertise include accounting, auditing, business consulting, and tax consulting services.

John’s extensive experience in the construction industry provides him a deep understanding of the compliance, finances, and taxation needs for those in the industry. John is valued for his knowledge in the construction industry and ability to identify the needs of GALLINA’s clients.

John began his career by serving as a Finance Officer in the US Army Finance Corps. However most of his career was at a Big Four accounting firm where he was a Partner and National Director of the Construction Practice. He worked in the Aon Construction Industry Group before joining GALLINA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master Degrees from Santa Clara University along with Masters Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

John was a contributing author and co-editor of the Aspen Publishers, “Construction Accounting Deskbook” from 1987 to 2003.

John likes playing tennis demonstrated by his involvement as the Beaverdilly Tennis Chairman for twenty years. Most importantly, John and his wife Gwen enjoy spending time with their two children and six grandchildren.
