A tax professional since 1987, Mark A. Bellows worked for a Big Four accounting firm’s San Diego and Sacramento offices prior to signing on with Gallina. That experience saw him serving a variety of industries—including construction, real estate, wholesale/distribution, services, manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture. “My client base has consisted of primarily small and mid-sized companies organized as S corporations, C corporations, and partnerships or limited liability companies,” he says. “Working for many years with a multitude of small businesses and their owners, I feel I’ve learned a great deal about the particular business challenges and opportunities faced by the small businessperson,” he says. “This allows me to bring a wide range of experience and practical solutions to Gallina clients.” Mark says he has “particularly enjoyed working with owners on merger and acquisition issues, spin-offs, and roll-ups, as well as on a number of transactions from both the buy and sell sides.” Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Master’s in Science in Taxation from San Diego State University. His clients have included such distinguished companies as Dunmore Homes, Spanos Park Development Company, FPI Real Estate Group, Pacific Coast Building Products, Gary Benvenuti and related entities, SASCO, Reeve-Knight Construction, Sundance Management, Sundance Properties, Ron Smith & related entities, PDA Land LLC, Lincoln Valencia II, TRG Construction Services, Inc., RPM Real Estate and Property Management, Inc., Cherry Street Partners, East Avenue Partners, Product Development Corporation, Timec Acquisitions, Inc. and Subsidiaries, JFB Firth Rixson, Inc. and Subsidiaries, Volk Industries and Subsidiaries, and Placer Mine.
